[Solved] 3d space mouse not working in 3d coat 2025.15

sometimes it works usually it eventually doesn't... In a blank project it works but after adding some poly model it just doesn't work. It's always been buggy in 3d coat but now it is unusable. I'm on the latest 2025.15 3d coat,

I have the 3d connexion big one, the space mouse enterprise?  Can I add videos to here?

Yet my 3d mouse works perfectly in:

Rhino8,

Blender 4.5,

Substance Painter 11? (steam.. latest version)(although it sometimes has problems too, but not as bad as 3d coat),

Cascadeur (latest),

Unreal 5, ... and a couple more..

I love my 3d mouse and it works great with most of all my others programs except Marmoset Toolbag 5...

and it takes me out of my flow when then I open 3d coat and I spend a half hour trying ...and failing to get it to work. :/

Is this a known issue is 3d coat programmer trying to fix this?

Ok, well after fiddling it seems that 3d coat has an issue with my tablet... I use a display tablet and a 3d mouse at the same time, and I have a trackball, shuttle pro v2 and 2 streamdecks (XL and mk2), probably not a normal setup...but other 3d programs can handle it.

3d coat seems to get confused when I use my pen (display tablet ) and 3d mouse together?

I cannot use recent builds of 3DConnexion software and 3DCoat, either. It behaves very strangely, practically buggy and that has never been the case, until this year. It turns out that 3Dconnexion made some major changes to it's API/Drivers and it requires Pilgway developers to have to spend valuable time trying to fix what is broken on their side. I have to use an older driver (10.9.3.671) until Andrew (Co-Owner & Chief Developer) is able to investigate it. He is only working on 3DCoat development part time, now, due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Other developers are still working full time developing the tools they are tasked with, but Andrew is the only one who can truly bugfix and deal with core applications issues like this. I reported this problem before, but I guess it was not high enough of a priority compared to some other issues and the Blender Applink.

So, downgrading the 3d mouse driver makes your 3d mouse work with 3dcoat? I don't really want to downgrade my drivers I do more than just use 3d coat and then it might screw up another program.

Do you use Blender/UE5/Rhino/Cascadeur/Poser/SubstancePainter with the downgraded 3d connexion driver and they all work along with 3dcoat?

I just tested all my programs with my 3d mouse including 3dcoat and it all works suddenly? :D Last night though, 3dcoat kept losing my 3d mouse and just zooming out and being non responsive, I restarted lots of times my pc and 3dcoat and cleared temp dir...  this just black box magic sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't? :/

Thanks though, I downloaded 3d connexion driver v10-9-3_b671.exe,  but now that it works with the latest driver v10.9.8.715 (right now anyways) I will hold off on trying to downgrade.
