Whenever I bake ambient occlusion in 3dcoat specifically, I end up with these pixelated artifacts. This doesn't happen with Blender. Anyone have a clue how to avoid that? Or what's causing it? How do I get a cleaner bake?

I bake onto models with a texel density of 4096x4096 usually, the screencap above is 2048x2048.

I'm self-taught and embarrassingly, I've run into this issue for quite awhile now... haven't had any luck figuring it out; I'm usually working on a deadline, so I've just been painting over it and moving on. Please help!!
