Advanced Member T.H. ROCK Posted September 4, 2009 Advanced Member Report Share Posted September 4, 2009 Okay, I'm thinking CUDA is faster and have zero experience with it. Have a 8800 GT Video Card, just updated the drivers. DX 3DC doesn't load with it (V.10 DX on the card) (but loads with GL) I downloaded the CUDA drivers, but get a warning that the driver is older than my current driver. Suggestions? Comments? I'm old - talk slowly.
Andrew Shpagin
You need: Download CUDA toolkit 2.2 from http://www.nvidia.com/object/cuda_get.html (you need to choose OS and bitness there - 64/32) After installing toolkit corresponding version of 3DC should work. Also you need to download and install DirectX from: http://85.25.71.225/files/dxsetup9c.exe
Advanced Member T.H. ROCK Posted September 4, 2009 Author Advanced Member Report Share Posted September 4, 2009 No joy. For some reason the system won't let me downgrade to 9_38DLL When I check DXDIAG after installation, it still reads DX 10.

I show DX10 as well but I have no problems using the DX version of 3DC. Dx9 and DX10 are different critturs in many ways.

Try to update DirectX 9.0c Redistributable - mar2009 PS after installation DXDIAG will always show DX
