Dr. Horrible wins an Emmy

Well it's not specifically CG related, although there are some FX used in it, but Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog has won an Emmy Award. If you haven't seen it already you should do so right away. For those in the States it's on Hulu and iTunes. I'm sure some other video sites are hosting it too (it was popular enough). If you don't know, it stars Neil Patrick Harris, Nathan Fillion , and Felicia Day and it's a musical about the rise of a super villian (Harris) while he also faces his arch enemy (Fillion) and his secret love interest (Day). It's created and directed by Joss Whedon, who is behind such hits as Buffy: The Vampire Slayer, Firefly, and Dollhouse.

Nice. I just finished watching a few episodes of Firefly (in my limited spare time!), great to see the cast getting a few other cool jobs.

Thanks for the heads up on this too, I will check it out. Never seen or heard of it.

Firefly is the most beautifully written sci-fi drama ever,the dialogs are gold(as the cast says) good as Tarentino's.

Dr. Horrible blog is just genius work,the songs stick in your head for weeks...it is a good thing they got an Emmy for this.

Most of the cast is doing rather well actually. Nathon Fillion was on Drive and currently the ABC series Castle. Alan Tudyk was in the last couple episodes of Dollhouse. Adam Baldwin is one of the main characters on Chuck. Jewel Staite played a main character on Stargate: Atlantis. Of course Summer Glau played the main Terminator character in The Sarah Conner Chronicles. Also Tudyk and Morena Baccarin will be in the upcoming remake of the V miniseries.

Morena Baccarin was also the leader of the Ori on Stargate: SG-1. Adam Baldwin also had a character on SG-1, he was marine in SG-13 I think.

Oh I saw Jewel Staite on Atlantis as you mentioned, but man I can't stand that show! Why did the writers think it was a good idea? The cast sucks (except for Jewel), the lines are horrible, and the sets are garbage.
