Contributor Tony Nemo Posted November 17, 2009 Contributor Report Share Posted November 17, 2009 I completed a figure in Voxels composed of 4 seperate objects (head, body, left and right arms), each in it's own volume. I quadrangulated these for Retop and changed to Retop. The objects had different colors and I can retop them when their layers are selected but I can't hide them (only the Quadrangulated mesh) so as to retop the parts where they are hidden by their neighbors. The "Object" list shows only one object so how can I hide the parts I don't want in the way? The Hide menu appears to be a feature of the Paint room so why it is in Retopo is not clear. Advanced Member Scott Padbury Posted November 17, 2009 Advanced Member Report Share Posted November 17, 2009 I think you have to save each one as and individual part otherwise it just accepts it as one, that is my thinking anyways not positive on that thou. What I was able to do was pop into the Voxel room and hide the volumes I wanted out of my way and they were also hidden in the Retop. All's well that ends well. Andrew Shpagin
It really seems to be a bug. I will correct that different quadrangulations appear in the same group - they should be in different groups. But you may act as: - quadrangulate one part - hide other parts - merge - clear retopo room (or use quadrangulate for per-pixel painting instead of all this) then repeat it for other part
