3D-Brush 2.01 released!

Recommended Posts

I am glad to inform you that 3D-Brush 2.01 released!

The list of changes (in comparison with 2.00):

1) Very important change - now every polygon is now subdivided individually in dependence of its proportions. It solves the problem of long polygons. Usually in all sculpting programs edges are divided in two parts, so it is difficult to deal with long polygons. But 3D-Brush now subdivides the polygon in any proportion - for example 7:234.

2) LWO import/export done. You can import/export objects with several textures and layers. The nodes structure will be preserved during the import/export. During the LWO export 3D-Brush creates the corresponding nodes structure for normal mapping, so the object is ready to render after export.

3) Navigation icons are implemented.

4) Now you can adjust light source properties in very easy way. You can change light source position and brightness.

5) The hints system is improved - now you will see hints everywhere, on almost every button. This makes the program really easy to learn and use.

6) There is a new option - "less quality of shaders". It will allow to rise up 3D-Brush performane on old computers.

7) The loading without smoothing is improved, now it allows to edit non-organic models without distortion. You will get the correct normalmap and displacement at output.

8) Auto-mapping is totally rewritten, now it is more correct and faster.

9) The new pen option - spacing is implemented. It will help in painting different tracks.

10) In hide tool you can hide/show the closed object with doubleclick.

11) The option "Pressure on color dependence" is now in top panel. It is convinient because if you vill cange this option and then forget it, you will not understand why pen does not paints.

12) Many bugs and inconviniences was fixed, the program should work faster and more stable.

13) Autosaving your work in case when program feels instability is implemented.

14) Backfacing during painting is improved, some bugs with backfacing was fixed.

Thank you for support! 80 peoples have purchased 3D-Brush during the discount period (10 peoples have bought it today). We thank to all customers! Your support allows us to continue hard work over many great improvemens. 3D-Brush will grow in functionality every month.

Also we decided to grow price slowly. During the november the price will be 85$.

with respect, Andrew Shpagin.

Wow,

You guys are so quick at updates :)

I think I must have waited nearly a year for Daz to update Hexagon to version 2.01 and it is was only a bug fix.

(It is good for creating lo-poly meshes to import in to 3D-Brush though)

Thank you.

You Rock!
