Linux version crashes with the latest NVIDIA drivers

I installed ubuntu 9.04 64bit on my computer and then downloaded the latest NVIDIA drivers 195.36.15.

I'm not able to use 3d-coat 3.02.10 at all. What happens is when I try to pick a default voxel sphere. The screen

flicks couple times and then 3d-coat window will close. Is 3d-coat expected to work in 9.04 anymore. Only reason

why I'm using it is that houdini works well in that system.

Yup same issue for me:

OpenGL renderer string: Quadro FX 4800/PCI/SSE2

OpenGL version string: 3.2.0 NVIDIA 195.36.15

on Centos 5.2 64bit.

Unfortunately, I bet Nvidia won't fix it anytime soon :(
