Taros
3.2.11 CUDA DX, Win7, 64 Bit When exporting OBJ from retopo room by using "menu->retopo->export", the the set object names in 3DC will be ignored. Instead the name "RetopoSurface#" will be set in the target object file. This makes it very uncomfortable for further using in game engines or third party tools. We need a individual object name in the obj file. Currently I must rename the objects by hand or in a 3rd party 3d app - this is really bad. This issue is urgend. So, if you could correct the name problem in obj export in one of the next updates, this would be very nice. Thank you Chris
Taros
Important. Could you check this please, Andrew... It begins to make the work complicated. Everytime I have to go to softimage to rename the obj file, because 3D Coat doesn't writes the right object name. And I have over 170 objects to sculpt... Andrew Shpagin
Different materials in OBJ file correspond to different retopo layers. And there will always be just one object. So I am not sure what name should I assign to that one object. What is better name for that single object? - name on OBJ file without OBJ extension - name of the first retopo group ? Taros
Ok. Take the name of the obj file name (without ext.) for the obj inside, please.
