Advanced Member ifxs Posted May 22, 2010 Advanced Member Share Posted May 22, 2010 This might just interest a FEW people ;-) Sculptris in Blender(well the initial stage of doing so anyway). http://farsthary.wordpress.com/2010/05/22/unlimited-clay-sculptris-hollygrail-soon-in-blender/
Advanced Member michalis Posted May 22, 2010 Advanced Member Share Posted May 22, 2010 what its all about ifxs? This link is not working for me. Do you mean voxels in blender? Possibly soon you'll see this too. But I don't expect much from this. Voxels need a 10-40 M grid to have some decent crispness. Same time a 'traditional' digital surface sculpture can achieve this using 250-800k meshes. In any case re-topology is the key. We are miles away from this point where digital sculpture will become 'real sculpture'.

Applink Developer haikalle Posted May 23, 2010 Applink Developer Share Posted May 23, 2010 Farsthary is a living legend. He is like Andrew in 3d-coat. A real hard coder, who makes your socks fly.
Advanced Member ghib Posted May 23, 2010 Advanced Member Share Posted May 23, 2010 Unbelieveble speed with the texturing tools. It's so smooth to paint even with Massive brush sizes; it's a real pleasure to work with. Makes me wonder why 3DC brushes feel so bad. Can't Andrew and Farsthary join forces and create a wonder app?
