Advanced Member Garagarape Posted October 3, 2011 Author Advanced Member Report Share Posted October 3, 2011 Thanks GeoTheFaust! I'll have a try to auto-rig as soon as I know a little bit more about basics. To avoid annoying you with stupid newbie questions I'll first try to assimilate a few knowledge Thank you for your kind words. Is your project with Messiah secret? I hope I can see it if possible. Advanced Member Garagarape Posted December 27, 2011 Author Advanced Member Report Share Posted December 27, 2011 Hello there, it's been a while. Too much sculpt at work and there's no strength left to enjoy sculpting at home. I know that it's no the place to show 2d work, but, let's go! : An old style illustation: And a WIP dragon chase scene: I'll try to be more productive as soon as my company current project ends. Cheers!

Advanced Member michalis Posted December 28, 2011 Advanced Member Report Share Posted December 28, 2011 This dragon is an incredibly good artwork. The indian girl, the old school illustration indeed. Excellent. Waiting for a 3d version.

Advanced Member Garagarape Posted March 4, 2012 Author Advanced Member Report Share Posted March 4, 2012 Hi there. Once again my pc let me down... Just got it back few days ago. I started a 3d version of the indian illustration (#381). It's a way to relax with simple specs because we use a lot 3dCoat at work these days, and it's quite hard to keep motivation for sculpts when back home. This girl will probably be painted in 3dCoat though.

Advanced Member Garagarape Posted March 20, 2012 Author Advanced Member Report Share Posted March 20, 2012 Thank you LJB. I just wonder if the rifle is not a little "toy like". I don't know much about weapons. Should it be a little more wider?

Advanced Member Garagarape Posted March 29, 2012 Author Advanced Member Report Share Posted March 29, 2012 Chingchong, Michalis, Thanks! But the shapes are very "avarage". Used light scatter and DOF to hide the poor parts of it.
Reputable Contributor digman Posted March 30, 2012 Reputable Contributor Report Share Posted March 30, 2012 We all need a break at times and your doodle looks like it was fun to do...
Advanced Member Garagarape Posted April 1, 2012 Author Advanced Member Report Share Posted April 1, 2012 Thanks Digman! Probably better to train more often with clay modeling even if it is not achieved work. So many new things I missed these last months. Advanced Member Garagarape Posted April 29, 2012 Author Advanced Member Report Share Posted April 29, 2012 I finished the low model study and wil start a new sculpt soon. Probably mecha. The indian girl don't have much to do with 3dCoat, but I thought it was fun to re-explore old workflows.
Reputable Contributor digman Posted April 29, 2012 Reputable Contributor Report Share Posted April 29, 2012 Really nice work for 3000 tris and it looks like you rigged her some...
Advanced Member Garagarape Posted April 30, 2012 Author Advanced Member Report Share Posted April 30, 2012 BeatKitano, Digman, Thanks! It took me time. I'm happy you like it. Still, the aim was to improve my rigging technique and I just gave up in the end. It is very "primitive" and uneasy to use (that's why there's only one pose) I've just bought a book from Chris Maraffi to learn more about it, but it is a long run task... see you soon with new sculpts. Advanced Member Garagarape Posted May 21, 2012 Author Advanced Member Report Share Posted May 21, 2012 Started a Skeksis. If I'm patient enough I'll try to sculpt the entire character, with clothes and hair.
