Hey Artman!

Yes Dark Crystal was great. Those puppets were magic!

There is something in this movie that would be hard to reproduce

even with today's CG techniques.

Hope you are OK in Quebec (listening to "Les cowboys fringants" right now :)).

Hope that students will get what they need and calm down a bit.

Take care.

Thanx ,Im very much ok.Its nothing comapred to Greece or places where people deal with religious tensions or real economic turmoil.

What they want is University for free or a freeze in actual school fees and I don't think they are gonna get either.

Things are very safe here unless you go to an actual manifestation, its probably hard for those who lives very close to manifestations trajectories but for where I am its just good ol' summer time :) .

They are not gonna calm down because governement jsut voted a special law to forbid manifestations so things are gonna get more violent I think.

But again compared to what is happening in the world right now its really not that big....

"Les cowboys fringants" are great!

Thanks Michalis!

I try to do my best. But still it is Brian Froud character.

Didn't torture my brain to find a good design.

May be the shapes are too soft and need more sharpen

on main volumes. The clothes and armour will be hard work

(probably on different scenes?):

Hi Chingchong!

No, I didn't up-res between the last shot and the previous one.

It's a X2 res. Just used the pinch stuff (the one in surface mode).

I wonder if X2 is enough and if the whole character could be done in one scene.

Probably have to try to add parts little by little to find the critical point.

Really looking sharp... :D

My favorite two brushes are CreaseClay and Surface mode pinch brush with remove stretching enabled. These two working together even on lower polygon meshes produce nice sharp edges. The new brush routine helps alot too...

Thank your for your kind words!

Lets say the sculpt is done.

There's a lot of differences if you compare it to the original puppet.

First the head wasn't that big. There's also more ripped clothes and hairy areas on the original.

I'll try to add a little flavor to the model by adding alpha-mask stuff for clothes and hair,

but will be lazy on the head size problem.

Lets polypaint + ritopo it!
