Advanced Member Garagarape Posted January 14, 2017 Author Advanced Member Share Posted January 14, 2017 I started a new character. It is still very rough, but I like the pose. If it turn to be a good one, I'm thinking of making a 3D print of it.

Advanced Member Garagarape Posted January 30, 2017 Author Advanced Member Share Posted January 30, 2017 PIeces of jewelry made with 3dCoat and printed with Shapeways services. I hope I can so the same with the viking character!
Advanced Member Garagarape Posted January 30, 2017 Author Advanced Member Share Posted January 30, 2017 Done! A retopo and then 3d print! I didn't make a pedestal... three points to take balance (2 feet + sword). Hazardous, may be.

Advanced Member Garagarape Posted January 31, 2017 Author Advanced Member Share Posted January 31, 2017 Thank you Tony! This one was a lot of fun to do. Remembers me of old toys I had when I was a kid. Retopo left. I may try to texture it to put it in the gallery. Cheers!
Advanced Member Garagarape Posted February 5, 2017 Author Advanced Member Share Posted February 5, 2017 Hand Retopo mode on! Retopo, the painful work, yet enjoyable phase. 19710 polys on the head. Want a lot of details for the 3D print. One million polys is the limit on Shapeways services. A little fun with Maya deformers and gif animation.

Let's do something else.

Advanced Member Garagarape Posted March 26, 2017 Author Advanced Member Share Posted March 26, 2017 Thanks Digman. Lots of details were washed away during the printing process. I ask for a cheap plastic upon available materials and was punished straight on In a lazy cycle once more. Spent a few hours looking at Fuad good videos, and dreaming I could do the same. Ended up with that:

Reputable Contributor digman Posted April 20, 2017 Reputable Contributor Share Posted April 20, 2017 (edited) I got to play with my model too either adding textures in a paint program or adding a smart material. It just helps me see in an artist sense. Generally 3D takes so long compared to digital 2D, I would go crazy if I did not do what I just said... Your work is as always inspiring my friend! Advanced Member Garagarape Posted April 22, 2017 Author Advanced Member Share Posted April 22, 2017 Thanks Digman. You and Tony have always been kind to me. Your comments give me a bit of the motivation I lack. Yep, 3D takes time. I admire your patience when it turns to explore new things (Photogrammetry). Running away from 3D once more; I saw some tutorials made by John Park on internet, and immediately ran to a stationer's shop to buy ball pens and stuff. So easily influenced.
