philnolan3d
A jack-o-lantern was one of the first 3DC sculptures I ever made. Your looks a lot better than mine did! Of course you have much better tools than I did.

Advanced Member michalis Posted January 3, 2011 Advanced Member Report Share Posted January 3, 2011 I love doodles! A great start of a sketch-book. Last one in modo, did you exported displacements, normal maps, is this a PPP or MV, a workflow is always welcome. Are you using the latest 501 version? Member schwungsau Posted January 4, 2011 Author Member Report Share Posted January 4, 2011 I love doodles! A great start of a sketch-book. Last one in modo, did you exported displacements, normal maps, is this a PPP or MV, a workflow is always welcome. Are you using the latest 501 version? usely i use "export as lwo" which brings my all the maps etc...pretty simple.... sometimes, in modo, i tweak/paint the colormaps... the skull is just as obj-hires mesh export (500 poly)-->load into modo--> add shader with noise bumpmap --> press render... the sculpt of the skull and render it are done in 20 minutes. sometimes, i dont wanna waste time with UV,s etc, just see my ideas in quick rendering... i am using modo5 of course... anyway the pumpkin and the eye also rendered in modo. displacment maps, color maps etc done in 3d coat and export lwo into modo.
