Someone I talked to to who did go further with it said it did an OK job, but they would still prefer to use SynthEyes or of course BouJou. BouJou is what I learned in school so I'm a little biased. I may give it a whirl. I wonder if they have made updates since you tried it? I like that they actually do mention using it with Blender and Lightwave (which often gets ignored). The pictures on the page look exactly the same but I don't think there was a Blender when I tried it, so if it says it supports it there may have been an update.
