I have not purchased yet so I am a super- newbie. I want to seeif this program can do a very specific operation...

I have an stl file (a crocodile skull) from which I'd like to extract the negative space inside. Basically fill it up and then delete the original so I can see (and print) the shapes of the spaces. Someone suggested this could be done in Voxels. Can this be done without being too complicated?

As far as I know you should be able to add your croc skull to a voxel layer, create another voxel layer with your cast shape eg a cube, then right click on your croc skull vox layer and ...subtract from... chose your cube layer then you will have a cube with a hollowed out croc skull.

From there you can split your casting shape into two halves.

PS. Good luck on your project it sounds interesting.
