Advanced Member 3dCoatWannabe Posted March 20, 2011 Advanced Member Report Share Posted March 20, 2011 I had a hand in another layer and merged it onto a body layer that had symmetry (onto left hand, the right side of the viewport). Only the single hand showed up. Is there a way to merge where both arms would get a hand, or to tell the layer to re-calculate symmetry from one half or the other. philnolan3d
You can redo symmetry, just click the little double arrow button at the bottom of the vox tree. Make sure Symmetry is on first, it will copy the last side you worked on to the other side. What I like to do is make a mark or something on the side I want to copy then Undo it. That way I'm sure it will copy the right one.

Thanks Phil I did find this other method which worked, and would give you full control over which side. http://www.3d-coat.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=3284&view=findpost&p=25580 But, your idea on marking the side is a good one!
