philnolan3d
I've always had a problem with 3DC, these small lumps and rough spots that are very difficult to get rid of. The only thing I've been able to do in the past is retopo the object and merge the retopo mesh in with subdivisions. This works but it's very time consuming. What do you fellow users do? Here I've circled some of the worst spots.
Advanced Member L'Ancien Regime Posted May 2, 2011 Advanced Member Report Share Posted May 2, 2011 Yeah I'm having problems with this myself. I'm trying smooth tool and fill tool cranked up to a depth of over 4280% and nothing doing...still bumpy... Wow, I just downloaded and installed the 3.5.18 beta and smooth and fill and carve tool are working 1000x better than the updated version I was running before... philnolan3d
Actually this problem has gone on for a long time, but in the current version the smooth tool, especially in Surface mode, actually makes it worse. When I smooth these "ribs" appear that remind me of fish gills.
