Advanced Member michalis Posted October 6, 2011 Author Advanced Member Report Share Posted October 6, 2011 Pilou gave me the opportunity to talk a bit more . As Steve will always be in front of us, no matter what OS we're using. (Pilou, you don't suppose that mac users here use one button mouse, do you? Impossible for 3dc) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mouse_(computing) You possibly know that mouse wasn't a Steve Job's invention at all. From this same wiki, we read this: However, the mouse remained relatively obscure until the appearance of the Apple Macintosh, which included an updated version of the original Lisa Mouse. In 1984 PC columnist John C. Dvorak dismissively commented on the newly-released computer with a mouse: "There is no evidence that people want to use these things" Steve didn't need evidences, at least from people like this columnist. Reputable Contributor digman Posted October 6, 2011 Reputable Contributor Report Share Posted October 6, 2011 There were computers in use including Macs but he made the Apple11gs in 1986 and anyone could use them because it had a functioning GUI. The rest is history. Thank you Steve Jobs. Rest in Peace... P.S. I got computers early for my kids and now 4 use them at work, 3 in the graphics industry and one for teaching new technology to the sight impaired. Advanced Member Tom K Posted October 7, 2011 Advanced Member Report Share Posted October 7, 2011 Let's not forget his other great contribution. PIXAR. http://www.pixar.com/index.html I went to see Toy Story the very first day it was released. Steve Jobs not only owned the company, he was the executive producer.
