Contributor TimmyZDesign Posted July 1, 2012 Contributor Share Posted July 1, 2012 I just noticed recently that there are finally some 3D-Coat tutorials showing up on Digital Tutors. I remember looking for 3D-Coat tutorials on there not too long ago and I was disappointed to see that there were absolutely none. Now there are a couple posted there. It's good to see that 3D-Coat is now becoming more and more accepted in the CG community!
philnolan3d
Unfortunately they're only using it for small aspects of bigger tutorials but it's still a step in the right direction for them.
Carlosan
Yeah, 3DC is inded for: Using 3D-Coat to paint normal maps for the organic details Quickly remeshing in 3D-Coat Automatic retopology with 3D Coat Using voxels in 3D Coat to add hair Looks like 3DC is strong in some areas where another programs are weak. I think that 3DC v.4 will be a BIG step in the right direction... if its showed like an integrated software solution ready for all the big aspects. philnolan3d
In this free preview of one of them it looks like she's basically starting out in zbrush but then using 3DC for all of the more complicated parts. I don't have a membership, since they don't offer much for me, so I can't see further than that. http://www.digitaltutors.com/11/training.php?vid=12652&autoplay=
