Turning the brushes into stencils and filling them with other brushes gave some cool results, and with almost 600 brushes in the 3dcoat library the possibilities are kinda endless -
Now the move tool stopped working. I tried to export the mesh and then import it back but it's not working. I really need it to work, sigh -

Is there a way to scale the reference mesh while keeping the original scale on export? I have discovered the Retopology Tools perform better when the reference mesh is bigger. I have tried scaling in the Tweak Room, but exporting does not restore the original scale. Note: This problem does not exist in 3Dcoat 4.9. -
Well I guess it's small...? The size was huge in Blender and I thought it would be the same on 3DCoat when I imported it. It has 5,9 million tris EDIT: I converted the units to meters, it's showing the correct size, one tool is now working again but other one is not

I am shooting in the dark but... is the model very small ? How many tris the model have ? -
I eventually deleted the file altogether and plan to remake it from the low detail mesh I did in Blender. (The first cause I wrote this topic about) However, now that I have a new scene with totally new different sculpt, I'm encountering this same exact problem again. Some tools suddenly stop working and I can't get them working. Shouldn't be too much for the computer if Blender handles this mesh quite fine too. I like sculpting in 3Dcoat better but these kind of issues are really a problem

When painting in 3DCoat the stencils is is very useful to create fast and good quality patterns, I really love that this feature is in 3DCoat. What I'm wondering is if there are any good stencils for scratches and stains that people could recommend?

Dear 3DCoat team, Do you have any update on this problem? Let me add to the aforementioned that any hotkey combinations, which are utilizing 0...9 number keys and R key are not working reliably with shape and lasso penops (#11 and up). For example, I'd like to grab a vox clay tool after using cut tool in vertex lasso mode. Pressing my hotkey Ctrl+Alt+R for vox clay does nothing. Same with hotkeys utilizing numbers. I'd like to emphasize that shape manipulation is a nice feature but it definitely not worth of losing key combinations I get used to during years of work in your flawless app. Due to anatomical accessibility numbers row and R key are binded on the hottest shortcuts in my layout and losing those while drawing with lasso is a real disaster. Maybe there is a way to disable shape manipulation feature in config? Would be a real aid. -

Strange. I put an "F" on all three dots and it works great. All I can advise is to reset the default hotkeys and reassign them again. -

I would like the ability to just CTRL +select multiple layers in the sculpt tree, and then hit a hotkey and put them all in a new layer group. Basically the ability the group multiple layers with a hotkey. In addition, the ability to move more than one layer at a time into a parent layer is something that is sorely lacking.

I'm also running into this issue. I'm on a Mac (3DCoat23.29 MacOS 13.5.2) Using the 2d pen in Stamp or Stamp drag mode won't hide/reveal the mesh correctly. **Edit** I've also noticed that it's still adding/subtracting from the hidden mesh. -

Hi, thank you for your patience, I already understand your explaination. I did the exact same thing and it didn't work, After I change the hotkey for all three of the points again (Redefine for red#1, stack key for green#2, stack key for blue#3) : 1. press that hotkey (let's say its "F"): I can define the red#1 point -> 2. press F the second time: define red#1 point again... -> 3. press F the third time: define red#1 point again... But somehow, if I stack one more action/ tool on top of that hotkey( for example: "Hide plane preview" ), it will work just fine like in your video. however, if I remove that last stacked action/ tool, it will stop working again, and then go back to "only able to define red#1 point". It's so weird...
