Retopo Objects
You can create multiple objects in the Retopo Room, each with their own geometry as you need. This allows you to retopologize parts independently of one another or to have multiple versions of the same object with different topologies. It can also make it easier to retopologize your meshes in problem areas. You can RMB and drag Object to reorder them, to the Trash icon to delete them, toggle visibility with the Visibility icon, etc. Double clicking a Retopo Object will allow you to rename it.
Let’s look at the icons at the bottom of the Retopo Objects panel, from left to right.
New Object
Creates a new object in the Retopo Objects panel for you to retopologize in.
Trash
When click, deletes the currently selected Retopo Object. You can also RMB drag and drop an object onto the icon to perform the same function.
Subdivide
Subdivides the mesh to increase polygonal resolution.
Symmetrical Copy
Creates a symmetrically mirrored copy of the geometry. The geometry is editable, not virtual, and requires Symmetry Mode to be active.
Select All
Selects all of the polygons in the current Retopo Object.
Move to Current Layer
Moves all selected polygons to the current Retopo Object, if they are in a different Retopo Object.
Clear
Deletes all geometry in the currently selected Retopo Object.
