Render Panel Functions:

Render. This button initiates the render of your frame or frame sequence.

View size. This allows you to choose between rendering the whole screen or a custom size. If you choose custom size you can then key in a value for the size on both X and Y of the area you wish to render.
Render size. This allows you to select a size of the rendered image, and it is only active if you are using a custom size from the view size drop down list. It will always be in multiples of the size you choose in the custom size.
Lightness. Increase this value if needed. If you increase the value of AO you will probably need to increase lightness or your scene won’t be lightened enough. AO percentage. Ambient occlusion. With this parameter you can change your lightening type. Zero value will give you direct lightening, 100 – Hemitype lightening.
Light scattering.' With this parameter you can adjust the amount of light that will be scattered. Higher values will give you softer shadows and softer specularity on shiny objects.
DOF degree. Depth of field focus. This option will produce lens focus effect on your image. With this parameter set the distance from the DOF plane where objects remain in focus.
DOF plane position. This slider moves a red plane forward or backward from the screen to set the center of the depth of focus. Use the slider above to set the distance from the plane (in front and back) where objects remain in focus.
Show DOF plane. Check if you want to show a focus plane where details will look most sharply during DOF rendering.
Store alpha channel. With this option checked alpha channel will be rendered too. You should choose TGA as output to use this option correctly. If you are rendering sequence, TGA will be chosen automatically.
Anti-aliasing. Makes your rendered image look smoothed. Keep it checked.
32-bit rendering. You can check this option if have good enough graphic card (GeForce 8, 9 or better). 32-bit rendering provides a higher quality render by allowing for an infinite number of rays.
Render result (if Render frame sequence is unchecked). Choose image format and a folder to store your rendered scene.
Render frame sequence. With this option checked you can render frames sequence rotating around object or along camera shortcuts sequence. If you check it an additional parameters will appear:

Folder to store images. Name of folder that will be created to store rendered frames. The folder is placed to Install dir/RenderedImages/...

Note that you can’t specify the place on you hard drive where to store rendered images.

Save lossless images. Save images in lossless format (TGA or BMP).
Don’t overwrite files. Files will not be overwritten during sequence rendering if checked.
Closed spline. Use this option if you have several camera shortcuts set up in the scene. In this case ‘camera flight’ trajectory will be closed.
Rays per frame. Set up maximal number of rays per one frame during rendering. Rendering time is directly proportional to this value.
Frames to render. Set the number of frames to render.
Counter clockwise. Set trajectory direction – clockwise or counter-clockwise.
Render sub sequence. Check this option if you want to render or re-render not all frames but only some. If checked you must set the first and the last frame to render:

As mentioned in the beginning of this section... Do not hit ESC to cancel a render if you still wish to use the image. You must wait until it is complete if you wish to have a final, useable image. Canceling the render will not do this. Patience is a Virtue!
