  1. Hi All,

Now that I decided to buy 3D-Coat, I need a new VideoCard. I have not the most up to date system at the moment. Just an AMD Dualcore with 4GB mem and a Geforce 7900GTX. For my workflow with Cinema4D this system is sufficient. Could be faster of course but I'm in no hurry as it is all Hobby for me.

    My question is as follows,

Is the difference between a Nvida 470 and an Ati 5770 really big in performance on 3DCoat? The price of an Ati is much more likable for me. :)

Or is my system to old to put in a GFX card like the Nvida 470. It would be a waste of money if I buy a new GFX card like the Nvidia and my system is to old to make a difference. I then better could buy a cheaper card like the Ati 5770 which handles very well in my main application Cinema4D.

I hope some 3DCoat expert users can help me with this question.

    Thanks.

    Peace,

    Rich_Art. :good:

  2. great job indeed. Great texturing and good lighting.

One thing, I think the symmetry of the head is a bit obvious. With all those wrinkles it is not possible that both sides do have the same wrinkles. :)

It can be that the original Yoda is build/made the same way. I never took such close look as I can do on your great image.

    Peace,

  3. Hi All,

I just want to introduce myself here on the forum.

I'm Rich_Art I mainly use Cinema4D but I really like to Clay in 3D. This is why I will buy me a copy of 3DCoat.

My friend Pavel Zoch pointed me to 3DCoat.

The price drop till October the 16th is a good thing to get me started with 3DCoat.

I don't have a high end computer, still a dual core with 4GB and a ATI 5770 GFX card.

I hope this is still ok for 3DCoat.

    Peace,

    Rich_Art. :good:
