Hello Malo,
1. Sculpt it from sketches or "from your imagination" with Voxels in Voxel room
2. Use AUTOPO (auto-retopology) or go to Retopo room and make a manual Retopo of your armor (considering your poly budget)
3. Make seams and unwrap for the UV-set
4. Bake fine details to normal map via Retopo->Merge with NM (per-pixel). It'll bring you to Paint room (choose low-poly, set desired texture size for the UV-set)
5. Make textures (color, specular, normal map)
6. Export low-poly OBJ + textures (those that you need)
Have Fun!

Maybe try to uninstall the license again, and then reinstall 3D-Coat. That window should appear.

Hi Brenda,
After un-installing the license did the popup window appear when you launch 3D-Coat? It offers to Try Buy or Register. It has a field where to type your serial number. That should do the trick.
"A Serial Number is bound to a single user. Nobody else can use the Software on your computers. If you are a private individual, you may install and use the Software maximum on three computers — on one office computer and on two your personal home computers, provided that you do not use the Software simultaneously on more than one computer."

Привет,
можно попробовать выключить воксельные слои в Воксельной комнате (нажать на иконку глаза) либо пойди в View->Show voxels in paint room (снять галочку).
Отпишитесь о результате плиз

Try Powerful Smoothing. It is activated by default if you press CTRL+SHIFT (it's actions drop-down list on the top of the screen). Must help

Sure, why not!
General idea is to keep resolution as low as possible, and increase it locally (performed automatically with LC). All the rest depend on your hardware
-
I would say:
1. Start with Voxels -> base shape -> rough details
2. Live clay -> fine tunning

I couldn't (at least yesterday)
I would like to see your work made that way - very curious!

Try Extrude tool for creating pieces with circles, rectangles, etc

Здравствуйте,

Hey, welcome aboard! Hope you'll like the community!
With your spec I wouldn't worry about anything (though everything has its limits)
Anyway you have enough time to make something "heavy" in order to see how it goes

How to sculp an armor?
in General 3DCoat
Posted
I would prefer vox layer - you simply paint the area of your future armor, set the offset and thickness - very handy!
Then sculpt it as usual: Grow or Airbrush or Extrude. Scrape, Smooth... etc
