I'm trying to use the 'Instance To Parent Instances' function but am having trouble getting it to work properly. Normally instances can be scaled, rotated, and translated with the transform tool and changes made with other tools between instances will remain consistent across each of them. However, when trying to use the 'Instance To Parent Instance' function on a child layer to one instance parent in order to instance an instance of the child layer to the other parent instance, the same transformations of the second parent instance aren't inherited by the child. The ultimate result is child instances which don't match their parent instances' transformations. Examples: 1. Instance from Original Parent. 2. Translate Instance Parent. 3. 'Instance to Parent Instances'. 1. Instance from Original Parent. 2. Translate Instance Parent. 3. Rotate Instance Parent. 4. 'Instance to Parent Instances'. 1. Instance from Original Parent. 2. Translate Instance Parent. 3. Scale Instance Parent. 4. 'Instance to Parent Instances'. While translation seems to function correctly, rotation and scaling seem to somehow invert the transformations made to the instance parent in using the Instance to Parent Instance function on child layers. I'm using 3D-Coat 4.8.04(GL64) on Windows 7 if that's helpful. Thanks for your advice!

I started using 3D Coat about a week ago, and I've run into this problem twice now. I was working in the retopo room for a while and had most of my voxtree layers hidden. When I unhid them later, one object that was in surface mode was full of holes. Trying to convert it back to voxel mode only made it weirder. At first it just looked like I had the surface hidden with the cell tool (even thought I never used it on that object), but as I tried to unhide it it only got worse. I've tried reconstructing it, using mesh doctor, resampling it, and nothing works. I think those triangles are just straight up gone. Then I tried to import the object from an earlier save, but that would crash 3D Coat every time I'd try to edit it. I'd get an error saying the program was unstable and not to overwrite my work. I've had similar problems with the cell tool not wanting to unhide cells and leaving square holes, but in those cases I was able to fix it with the fill tool. Does anyone know what's happening here and how to avoid it? I've kinda resigned to my fate that I'll have to redo that object, but if there is a way to fix it I'd love to know. Thanks in advance.

Hi! I'm new to 3D Coat, and am currently using the 30 day trial on a 64-bit Windows 7 computer. I really like the program so far, but I'm having a problem. I can't see any of the files related to it in Windows Explorer. I can't find 3D Coat itself or any files I save or export from it under Program Files, Documents, not anywhere. It doesn't show up in All Programs or in Add/Remove Programs in the control panel. I found and turned off "hide hidden folders" on my computer, and that didn't reveal it. To run the program, I have to run setup again. But it saves and remembers my previous files, so it's not like things are getting deleted. When in 3D Coat's Save or Open windows, I can see the 3D Coat program files and all my saves/exports. But when I go to those same locations from outside 3D Coat, I can't find those folders and files. If anyone could help me with this I'd very much appreciate it.
