Auto UV mapping polygon limit?

When importing an OBJ file is there a polygon limit I should be aware of? Auto UV mapping on import hangs 3DCoat. And I can't tell if I should wait for 3DCoat to finish auto UV mapping my objects or if they are never going to finish.

So my feature request for future versions of 3DCoat is to disable the Auto UV Mapping button if an object has a high poly count, or at least state that the object's poly count is too high and suggest what the count should be for auto UV mapping to work.
