Thanks Carlosan once again for the video. It looks like this one might have more info that I need right now. I have a feeling I'm going to have to watch this one a couple times. Hey Oliver, haha. I don't know if it's a good thing or not that I'm not alone in this lol. But it is good to hear that it slowly gets easier. So yea, I finally found a menu option that just allowed me to edit the geo I imported, after importing it into the modeling room. Once I realized that different rooms have different menu options, it made a -little- more sense Thanks guys. -

Another problem is that loading files from the previous version of 3dCoat textura completely breaks the textures. All the color have been turned greyscale, this is with every layer. I tried opening up 4-5 older projects on the 2025 textura and they were all turned greyscale, like the actual textures and layers have been converted greyscale and theres no way to get it back to color. I have uninstalled 2026 because I have essentially lost all my work for years because the loaded files won't load color on older files. I'll have to use 2025 it seems as this isn't just a normal bug, it essentially makes older 2025 textura files useless. -

Another person had the same problem. It turned out that Python didn't fully copy its libraries on the first run, or copied them with errors. Reinstalling 3DCoat fixed the issue. You can reinstall 3D Coat for now, in the meantime I'll think about how to prevent this from happening. -

Hi, I've looked through the other suggestions but I don't have 3D Coat, only Textura so I installed that and the top menus are missing. I have tried deleting the document folder and the main folder, and tried running in Admin but nothing works. I think the Textura only program is just missing the menu completely and having to install the main 3dCoat just to get the menu for textura doesn't make sense if I plan on uninstallilng 3d coat and only keeping textura, in which I lose the menu. This is a major bug with the standalone program. Is there a way to get the menus back without having to install the main 3dcoat just for menus in textura? -

Sometimes this happens because there is problem with opening zipped scenes. If this is your issue, please turn off zipping in preferences. -

Yes, after uninstalling the full version of 3DCoat, I also manually deleted all its remaining folders from Program Files and Documents. I only kept the folders related to Textura: Documents\3DCoatTextura and Program Files\3DCoatTextura-2026. Textura still works correctly. -

I just updated 3DCoat textura to the 2026 version. But when i tried to open my old documents they looked weird. After some digging around i found that the problem comes from grouping layers. It worked! I uninstalled Textura, deleted all the remaining folders, installed and launched 3DCoat 2026 once, and then reinstalled Textura. The full interface is now displayed correctly and everything seems to be working. I also uninstalled the full version of 3DCoat afterward, and Textura still works correctly on its own. Thank you both for your help! One last question: the installation includes two executables, 3DCoatGL64 and 3DCoatGL64Legacy. What is the difference between them, and which one should I normally use? -

Here is example of what I'm talking about - first one is with UV and then voxel/surface. So, I'm wondering if current painting behaviour with voxel//surface objects is normal and if node system/new materials will eventually work with voxel/surface objects the same same way, the old Smart Materials work. -

This is the only model I have tried, current project. My belief is that this is caused by parts which are duplicated and share the same UV space as it only appears on those parts of the model. If it helps loading a normal map seems to solve it but has other errors with tight triangulation. -
