i see some ui/ux will be getting updates , will you be changing the workflow in 3dcoat? also i know me asking is getting tiring , but will sculpting see any improvements?  

Definitely "smoother" curve/better blending of the segments - when trying to build anything more complexe than simple wrap around the object, it can deform badly(weird bumps, spikes, twists, etc. Another thing(maybe fixed already?) - the curve is twisting around the axis while you are building it, really easy to observe when you use your own profiles like snake body, where you have different texture on top and bottom of the curve model(don't know if I have explained this clear enough?).  Performance could be better, because it's a bit sluggish even with lower poly profiles, so the editing of the curve becomes annoying as hell.

You can replace the startup image with your own custom graphic.  Place a 960x540 JPG file named Background##.jpg into your C:\Users\<username>\Documents\3DCoat2026\data\Splash folder.  

What do you think needs polishing?

Can't wait to test this. Curves tool is one the essential tools, but it needs polishing.

It is possible, but you need to choose new images to put there. And ask the author for permission

Such good news! @Carlosan is this a shot from a new widget with QT in a new 3DC build? Great news to know that 3DC will be looking into more modelling functionality! The more you can do in the modelling room the more you can produce for game assets, full workflow, right there in 3DC. If one could build a simple PBR shader for polygon objects, with some maps, one could do some trim sheets with a full material. As of now I use the custom texture option in the dropdown in the modelling room, however I can only use one map. I did read there was a new option added for rendering polygons. Being that the devs are doing such fundamental changes, perhaps having the ability to have different renderers per room would assist with this. Maybe using another renderer could help, perhaps Filament, but I trust what the devs are doing. Just my 2 cents. 

I read this but I couldn't find Shift, only Ctrl and Ctrl didn't have Reduce. 

There should also be a REDUCE option in the Surface mode SHIFT and SHIFT & CTRL list menus.

After opening Profiler, all the slowness problems disappear.  1.json 2.json profile_results_tmp.json 2.txt 1.txt

I solved the problem. It's not in Smooth it's in Clean Clay. My mistake. 

I just installed 2026 so I'll say that one.
