Desktop 2025-10-26 00-02-36.mp4     also voxels are giving a strange grouping on polys , voxels use to disperse evenly over the mesh but now it groups them

As I know... Blender does not have built-in support for Ptex.

Something else is wrong. If I send as Per-Pixel painting, And get back all is well.  But is I use Ptex Paint and use get back I have nothing. The .fbx file is in the exchange folder. I can export manually into Blender and I get the model but without the textures. When I import the .fbx file for the Per-Pixel painting I get the model along with the textures. I havent tested in modeling.

Bring realism and flexibility to your leather and fabric projects. This new volume introduces optimized low-poly 3D stitch models (OBJ/FBX). Any 3D software that supports Alphas (PSD, PNG, TIF) .

<- 4.5.2 here & 2025.11 io_coat3D = C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Blender Foundation\Blender\4.5\extensions\user_default (file attached) Exchange folder = C:\Users\<username>\Documents\AppLinks\3D-Coat\Exchange\ Exchange_folder.txt = C:\Users\<username>\Documents\3DC2Blender   note: Before had send the mesh from Blender to 3DCoat, to get Getback applink working, you need to use this command first: File > Open in external app. Do not use Export to Belnder and then GetBack.     io_coat3D.rar

I checked it out.  V4.9 seems to run smoother than 2025.11  Tested with 24 million polygons. when 6 million polygons, that's not a big problem. I use pinch tool.   V2025.11  2025.mp4     V4.9.6 49.mp4     my PC spec. This is a laptop PC made around 2022 years.

Yes. Went through those steps again, used the git version of the addon before, but nothing changed. I didn't get the 3DCoat directory with export.txt in documents, but creating them didn't work. Is it my issue? Do anybody else use the combination of 4.5.3 and 2025.11 successfully?
    • Carlosan
my bad sorry ! Reading it I confused it with version 5  -------------------------------- Are you following this steps ?
    • Simon-telezhkin
What versions combination works currently? Blender 4.5.3 is LTS, not beta. Is 3DCoat-2025-11  considered beta? What version works then?
    • Carlosan
yes, sadly it only works with stable versions, not with any beta

Took me days, I give up, nothing works for blender 4.5.3 lts and 2025.11. Tried installing from git, change the locations between in program-files and roaming. Got to the point where blender exports fbxs to \Documents\3DC2Blender\ApplinkObjects, but nothing happens after it

I compared performance, on my side 2025.11 is much faster than 4.9.60. But the 4.9 generally worked somehow slow on my PC, so not sure in quality of test. May someone make test - same scene, same brush radius, same mode - voxels or surface, and compare? 4.9.60: https://pilgway.com/files/3dcoat/V4.9/3d-Coat-V4_9-60-64.exe

Thanks @Carlosansadly that didn't work as the vertices no longer matched closely enough I guess in whichever way I tried some more things, and found that I could export using the deprecated Bake>Bake Textures menu, but the normals are flipped on just one of the (main) UV islands.  Not a DirectX openGL thing, I tried flipping green in Blender and it just flipped the normals for the whole map, of course. I checked the face normals on the original object in Blender, and the exported fbx I sent to 3dcoat, all fine. The other method that was tantalisingly close that I discovered was, importing the updated mesh as a retopo mesh, and using Bake w/normal map option in the Retopo room, with just the original paint visible and selecting the retopo mesh as the target. This did bake fine as well and send the result to the Paint room as a new Paint Object. But still with the pesky inverted normals on the same individual island, even just within 3dcoat. I just tried re-exporting the old paint object as an fbx to Blender, and everything came over perfectly. So I guess I'll have a go now at baking the textures to the new object in Blender.  It seems like there are some quirks in the internal normal map calculations in 3dcoat I guess. Not sure if this has been fixed in later versions. It does make it a bit scary doing baking work in 3d coat for me right now. Ah well we tried. Thank you again Carlosan

@chr1"Through All Volumes" doesn't work for me at all. I've passed it on to the developer.
