Hi, is there not already such a feature inside 3DC called "focus on the brush"? It is assignable for a keyboard shortcut and can be found in the small icons on top right of viewport, close to the camera icon.

Advertising my suggestions in this thread as well, which are in summary: Enable smooth scrolling of scrollable UI elements with touch. Remove the need to hover over scrollable UI elements in order to scroll them with touch.

Oh I'd really love that. Can confirm, not working for me either.

Can someone else check on their end and see if the "Drag and Drop" functionality in the Retopo/Modeling room works...between the PolyGroups panel layers and the Poly Models (formerly Retopo Models) panel? It seems totally broken on my end in 2026.01

I think they are polishing up the Paint Room/Object nodes and GPU engine (a number of years in development) driving them and other functions such as parameter sliders (MUCH faster now). I think Andrew, on top of bug squashing, is working on enabling Layer Masks to work with DEPTH in the Sculpt Workspace. That is the one channel that was not enabled to work with Layer Masks on Sculpt Objects. If implemented, it would give 3DCoat a really powerful, non-destructive and intuitive way to modulate Sculpt Layer depth. You can do it somewhat with the Magnify SL Brush, but it's not really non-destructive. Once you try to reduce depth with your brush, if you later to decide to try and restore some or all of it, it doesn't come back 100%. Being able to use Layer Masks instead, would be the best way. Retopo/Modeling rooms got a hierarchy tree structure in the PolyGroups Panel, with Layer Grouping, and multi-layer select. I think there are some more additions coming, such as Reference color (like the Sculpt Tree panel) and Selection Contour, like in the Sculpt workspace.

I found it. it was a styles css extension that was for some reason hiding the top bar, because it thinks its an ad container or something. My bad.

Anytime you do smooth selection a few times either using alphas or not you get these weird lines that form for some reason, hope this can be fixed!

If you like, can create an account to follow that issue or to add a +1

Hi all, I commented in the sculpt room bug report thread, but since I haven't had any replies and it is seriously affecting my workflow I thought I'd start a post - I wonder if there are more users with the same issue that might see this: Changing sculpt layer parent sometimes randomly freezes and crashes. Win10 2025.17 The steps to reproduce the bug are "change parent", trying to assign to a new parent layer In the video you can see me using the keyboard shortcut to change parents quickly until it happens: Honestly its been a nightmare over the last few versions. I have to save every time I change parents and it really slows me down. (I linked the original post because for some reason I cant re-upload the screencap video here)

Hi, a few suggestions: 1. Adjust scroll speed to smooth scrolling like in the Blender video below. Currently, the UI elements such as the left menu, Layers panel, Brushes, Dialog such as Setup Navigation are scrollable with the two finger drag gesture, but it scrolls way too fast to be usable and in discrete steps, so I have to use the mouse. 2. Remove the need to hover over UI elements in order to scroll them with gestures, like the Blender video below. Presently, I have to hover over (or press on) a UI element in order to scroll over that UI element. It would be great if 3DC just simply detected scrolling over a UI element and scrolled that element, regardless where the hover/pointer is. This suggestion would correct the following UX/UI issues: When working with a pencil in the viewport and (2-finger) dragging the scrollable UI elements, the viewport zooms in/out, which is unexpected. If hovering over and 2-finger scrolling element A, and later 2-finger scrolling element B, element A continues to scroll (unless I hover over element B), which is unexpected. For comparison, notice the smooth scrolling and the scroll activated by touch (without hover) in Blender.
