Sticky keys are broken for quite some time, Don't use sticky keys doesn't have any effect. There are a lot of weird behaviours, for example, I have one object in the viewport, then I swicth to Duplicate object(with assigned shortcut - CTRL+J) and next time I hit CTRL+J it switches to move tool. Also, it is very annoying when 3DC remembers tool for each object in sculpt tree, so it switches automatically to the last tool that was used on particular object when that object is selected. These issue was mentioned couple of times already.

What about sticky keys ? Sticky Keys let you hold down a tool's hotkey to use it temporarily. When you release the key, the software snaps back to your previous tool. To turn this off, go to Edit > Preferences, find the General tab, and check the Don't use sticky keys.

Hi Carlosan, the two options in your image are already checked for me. To be honest with you, I'm trying to check how they operate, but it's erratic as behaviour, when switching from one tool to another. Sometimes Wet Clay gets the stroke mode selected for the last tool, other times it's the stroke tool with pressure for radius, depth and opacity.   For the presets, is it supposed to be this icon? Because I've saved some different brushes, but when I click, only the type of brush is recalled, not the stroke mode.

The development of version 2026 (current is v2026.05) is on Beta stage, not ready for production. for daily use continue with latest 2025 version * remember to select on Edit the location of 3DC folder on //documents for every version to avoid any bug.

I believe I'm using 2026.0.1 on both machines. Haven't updated for a while.

Hello, would it be possible to have brushes remembering their stroke mode during a sculpting session? I mean, if use a stroke mode with Pose tool, for example rectangle, that stroke mode will be inherited by Soft clay brush, that previously had a brush one, and viceversa. Now my request born because, if I click the Fill brush, I can see the stroke mode becomes the "constant brush" stroke mode, despite whatever there was earlier. Then, if I click Soft clay or Pose again, the "constant brush" stroke mode is inherited. So I can see there's a mechanism that associates Fill brush to a peculiar stroke mode, why can't be the same for the other brushes? It would be nice to let the user choosing the default stroke mode per brush when 3DCoat starting and, during the sculpting session, 3DCoat will memorise which stroke mode has been selected per brush. Thank you in advance.

I'm not sure I follow. I don't see an Extrude option when using Select Transform for faces or edges. Smart Extrude appears to be the only one that lets me extrude a face or an edge.

      > Extrude (On Select Transform or Smart Extrude) only works with Faces. Was changed to prevent bugs.

Have things drastically changed in 3DCoat since I last used it...? Has the Extrude option been moved? I've selected a ring of edges that I want to extrude, but the only option I see now is Smart Extrude. I thought there was a standard method of extruding? It has been a while since I last retopped something in 3DCoat. Again, I did see mention in an old thread that it's in the Command menu, but it doesn't show for me. I only have Add Geometry, Tweak, UV, Selected, and Entire Mesh.

rapid fire bugs lol, this time with pose mode FFD - pose FFD with surface mode will randomly voxelize you surfaces - it is in general "incredibly janky" - watch the video to see all the things going wrong 2026-07-06 00-23-52.mp4

2026-07-05 23-42-56.mp4   Close holes is now broken for roughly half of the time in 2026.05 - make teh default sphere - mask a section of it - hide masked - split hidden - close holes on both sides. One side will splay out and  become a sombrero. you now have a gigantic not-closed hole!

The option to turn off it is located on Edit > Preferences > Theme

Ahhh, so Commands only appears if you select Mark Seams. That was part of the problem - I just wasn't finding Commands anywhere. That and having faces on these additional UV sets. But yes, Marking Seams and then selecting Clear Clusters works.  But yeah, I believe it's only working on the one UV set. EDIT: Huh. Just experimenting, but now I can't seem to get Clear Clusters to work. I've put all faces onto the one UV set, but even making a new cluster, like a square marked with UV seams, clicking on Clear Clusters doesn't appear to do anything. EDIT 2: Ah, clusters works in a different way to what I was thinking. Never mind. They don't work if a cluster is added via UV seams, but only if you've separated a part of the mesh off with a different colour set.
