In 3DCoat, the node system is not separated from the painting editor, so here it is done simply by exporting textures.

Yeah, it's enabled. It's ticked with the Delete Face/Edge tool, Move, Brush, Select, Quad etc.

Is Ignore back Faces turned ON ?
    • DustyShinigami
That's a useful tool, but sadly it doesn't appear to be helping. I've scaled it up by 6X, but the same issue happens; it seems to keep selecting faces through the mesh.

Test if "Edit > Scale Master" help.
    • DustyShinigami
Okay. I'm not sure if that's going to negatively affect things further down the line...? Or presumably it'll restore the original scale on export...? The character mesh is pre-set up based on the metahuman mesh from Unreal. Along with all the clothing I've made. It should be around 180cm, I think.

The model is very small, try scaling it by 100%

Hi. I swear I have posted about this once before or something similar. Maybe it was the one about vertices on the other side snapping together...? But anyway, whilst I'm deleting faces under a boot, faces directly behind the foot mesh are also getting deleted. I have Ignore Back Faces ticked for the Delete Face/Edge tool. I'm now using 2025.17. Not sure if there's an option in the Preferences I need to tweak...? Thanks

Yeah, this definitely works. I was just wondering what happened to the original Extrude option that I've used in the past, but if it was replaced/changed to fix bugs, then that's that.

The Carbon Game Engine Framework has been open sourced by Fenris Creations (previously known as CCP Games). The Carbon engine powers the incredibly popular long running MMO Eve Online (and Eve Frontier). The majority of the source code has been released under the MIT license, while the remaining portions are released under other permissive open source licenses that allow commercial usage. Carbon is described as:   Key Links Carbon Homepage Carbon GitHub Repositories Carbon Interview on GameIndustry.biz You can learn more about the Carbon game engine being open sourced, as well as the history of CCP Games and Fenris Creations in the video below.

The Smart Extruder tool works with faces and edges.   SmartExtrudeEdhes.mp4

The versions manager isn't working. Whichever button I press it just says "Preparing" forever. I guess the only option is to manually download and install from here?

Sticky keys are broken for quite some time, Don't use sticky keys doesn't have any effect. There are a lot of weird behaviours, for example, I have one object in the viewport, then I swicth to Duplicate object(with assigned shortcut - CTRL+J) and next time I hit CTRL+J it switches to move tool. Also, it is very annoying when 3DC remembers tool for each object in sculpt tree, so it switches automatically to the last tool that was used on particular object when that object is selected. These issue was mentioned couple of times already.

What about sticky keys ? Sticky Keys let you hold down a tool's hotkey to use it temporarily. When you release the key, the software snaps back to your previous tool. To turn this off, go to Edit > Preferences, find the General tab, and check the Don't use sticky keys.

Hi Carlosan, the two options in your image are already checked for me. To be honest with you, I'm trying to check how they operate, but it's erratic as behaviour, when switching from one tool to another. Sometimes Wet Clay gets the stroke mode selected for the last tool, other times it's the stroke tool with pressure for radius, depth and opacity.   For the presets, is it supposed to be this icon? Because I've saved some different brushes, but when I click, only the type of brush is recalled, not the stroke mode.

The development of version 2026 (current is v2026.05) is on Beta stage, not ready for production. for daily use continue with latest 2025 version * remember to select on Edit the location of 3DC folder on //documents for every version to avoid any bug.
    • DustyShinigami
I believe I'm using 2026.0.1 on both machines. Haven't updated for a while.
