ive noticed lately , alot of tools are added but only half , they are being added and then forgotten about , while this is happening ... a majority of the sculpting tools are failing .
could we maybe have some time spent on a stable version with all the bloated half finished features are removed and where things work as they are and a separate version for added features that are in testing , so far i cant use 3dcoat ... it keeps failing on me and the experience isnt a nice one .
Hi! Before I made recent update texture padding looked like 1st screenshot - the pixels was just expanded from uvshell border filling the empty space
Now, after newest update it is looking like 2nd screenshot - empty space filling randomly and it results in bad pixelated borders
I tried every possible settings combination in edit - preferences - in\out, still not working as it should.
Help!
maybe someone will understand but this makes no sense to me... aare you baking aa high to low? or you waant the specular map on top of the diffuse map??? not 100% sure what you mean
So I'm kinda going half ass backwards here. I'm working on a set of UDIM maps that would be used for specular or even bump. I'm trying to repaint this resource I've had for a while with all the corrected pores and other bits like elbows, nipples, hand and feet details. So my question is: Is there a way to bake this information onto a Diffuse map?
Also when I did attempt to create a Normal map from the older diffuse map I got allot of weird stuff going on. I'm hoping, if I can bake this black and white map into this more smoothed out, sort of naked, diffuse color map I can then get a better Normal map out of it. The older attempt was really horrible looking and unusable.
If there is a way to bake the black and white map onto the diffuse map please show me how with either a video or images as I'm a visual learner.
Much appreciated
Richard

I'm excited to share my latest project: a meticulously crafted wedding band designed using 3DCoat. This piece combines traditional grace with modern design elements, aiming to create a timeless symbol of commitment.
Design Highlights:
Material: [Specify the material, e.g., 18k white gold, platinum]
Features: [List key features, e.g., diamond inlay, engraved patterns, comfort fit]
Design Process: Utilized 3DCoat's sculpting and retopology tools to achieve intricate details and a smooth finish.
I would greatly appreciate any feedback or suggestions to enhance the design from Dvik Jewels. Looking forward to your insights!
here's a couple examples. The second one uses instances. and the third video shows the behaviour in blender that I would like in 3dcoat.

There are some great new features but a lot of bugs makes it unusable unfortunately(depending on what you want to do) I would suggest holding off upgrading for a while longer while they work out the bugs. I am not gonna upgrade anymore until a lot of broken basic functionality that I require is working again myself.
There is a guest licence you can try out on the latest version to see if the features you want to use are working for you if you want to try it out.
Edit: Nevermind about trying the guest licence files seems it expires today on Oct 1
