Hey fellow 3DCoaters!
Does anyone know if it's possible to use a 3D Print as a prototype for manufacturing purposes.
Let's say I developed some toys in 3DC, can I simply take 3D Prints of my models
and use them to cast the molds needed for mass production?
Anyone familiar with this process? Is this even possible?
Many thanks in advance!

OUTSTANDING! Nice work as usual Michalis!

Hey Johnnycore!
Yes, I reinstalled everything before I read your post.
I even trashed any .plist files pertaining to 3DC.
I had to do a clean install of my original v3.0 and then a clean install of
build 3.7.00. Now it looks like I'll stay away from build 3.7.16A because
every time I launch 3.7.16A, my computer freezes and monitors flicker.
But I am very happy now and it appears that everything is stable once again
after I did my clean installs.
Thanks everyone!

Thanks Tony. Didn't work. And my apologies to the forum moderators... it appears I have posted in the wrong the forum.
I was stricken with panic when I couldn't use my 3d-Coat anymore and I'm under deadline.
Anyway, I reinstalled my original purchase of v3.0 and it seems to remedy the situation except for one thing.
Now, I gotta find that damned serial number LOL. :(

Hey 3DCoaters!
HELP! PLEASE!
Sparked up 3D Coat v.3.7.04 today to work on a new project. I went to choose a photo as a background reference while I in "front' camera position.
Instead of being able to choose the image I wanted, 3D Coat decided to throw in the default blue fractal background image.
Then... BLAMMO!!!!!! KAPLOOEY!!!!!! My entire system flew south for the winter after that. System wide crashing with my dual monitor set up
flickering constantly.
After de-installing and trashing every preference I could find. I was left with this image after reinstalling v3.5.
3D Coat and my system were running BEAUTIFULLY for the past year. No hiccups whatsoever; worked like a dream.
So it's safe to say that choosing a background image probably caused all of this.
Here are my specs:
MacBook Pro Intel Core 2 Duo-2.66 GHz
8GB of DDR3 RAM
OSX 10.5.8
NVIDIA GeForce 9400M 256 MB
NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GT 512MB
Model Name: MacBook Pro
Model Identifier: MacBookPro5,2
Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo
Processor Speed: 2.66 GHz
Number Of Processors: 1
Total Number Of Cores: 2
L2 Cache: 6 MB
Memory: 8 GB
Bus Speed: 1.07 GHz
Boot ROM Version: MBP52.008E.B05
Please let me know if you need any more info and many, many thanks in advance.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hey Methelina!
I like your work! The bottom 360 from your unannounced project is pretty cool (posted on 12.6.11).
Keep 'em coming

Thanks Michalis! Your input on curves and endcaps behavior was invaluable. Really helped me throughout the process.

Greetings fellow 3DCoaters!
Currently enjoying 3DC 3.7 goodness!!!
I'm reeeeeally anxious to get my hands on the Voxel Paint capabilities. Just waiting for the OS X release
Here's a few illustrations I've completed using 3DC. Workflow is still the same.
Sculpt, Retopo, Painting/Texturing all in 3DC. Lighting and rendering in Lightwave. Compositing in Photoshop.
Many thanks to the forum gurus for helping me out with the curves-tool issues I had.

Outstanding! Beautiful render with gorgeous shadows with a realistic, subtle color palette! Haha-love the expression on the face!
I can't wait to explore Blender more in depth when I get a chance.
