  1. I have Lightwave so I can do that as a workaround. No one here seems to know if it is possible to model to an exact size in voxels. Maybe it is not possible?
  2. I am retopologizing over a voxel base. I am exporting as an STL file that I will send to a 3D printer. I need to make sure that the width of the this particular object is 80mm. When I use the MEASURE tool, it gives me a number: 156.4549 I have units set to cm. Something is wrong. The exported STL mesh is not 156.4569 centimeters. Can anyone tell me how to resize the voxel object to 80mm wide , so that the mesh will be 80mm wide?
  3. I have an object that I created in Lightwave with 4 endomorphs. It is capable of "morphing" into a variety of positions. It is an index finger and thumb that grasp, and can open into a variety of positions. If I were to paint a normal map in 3D Coat for deeply wrinked skin on the base object, will the wrinkled skin still work in all positions back in Lightwave Layout? No, right? If not, how do you use normal maps for shape-changing objects? (I know it is possible to create endomorphs in 3DCoat. But I have created them in Lightwave, and it took some time). Thanks!
  4. Hello, Can I import a Lightwave .lwo object, make it a voxel object (so I can use the "wrinkle brush", etc, and then export it as an .lwo again? Or, can I just import the .lwo for per pixel painting and use the wrinkle brush in the "Paint" room?
  5. Thanks, AbnRanger! That should be quite helpful for a lot of my questions.
  6. Hello, 3D Coat seems wonderful, a brilliant program. And a great price. But, I am having frustrating problems. The manual covers everything, and all the tiny details, but I cannot easily find out how to do the simple basics! I am a medical 3D artist who has worked with Lightwave for 3 years. I am interested in how 3D-coat might be better for organic modeling. I am looking for a "Hello, World" manual of starting a voxel project from nothing, and creating something basic? With basic procedures that are always used. For instance, How do you get rid of a piece that you "split" from a sphere? How do you make the gizmo go away? There are some tutorials, yes. But a time-lapse does not explain the "why", or even the details of the "how". Did I miss a document? The manual is primarily a REFERENCE, not an instruction manual. Do you see the difference I am talking about?
