  1. reproduced. Force quitting 3d-coat hangs the mac requiring power cycling to recover. macbook pro 2.53 ghz late 2008, nvidia geoforce 9600m gt. osx 10.6.6 wacom cintiq 12wx with driver 6.1.6-4 i also ran the above frame test for about 4 hours without crashing. hope this helps.
  2. It would be useful if the mesh edges changed color/shade around tris, quads and ngons. Also it would be useful to have different coloring on torn edges of the mesh. This would make it very easy to identify unintentional tris or ngons during retopology by spotting color difference.. Coloring on mesh edges would assist in finding unintentional holes in the mesh. I know tris and ngons can be found easily with the search tool, but being able to identify them with a glance would speed and assist bug fixing meshes. Sometimes cleaning up these errors is quite difficult, as they can be hard to find in a complex mesh. Similarly, holes or mesh edges can be hard to spot. This functionality would probably only be of general use in the retopo room. Thanks in advance for your consideration.
