  1. It would be really great to have "free" trackball view rotation as the current system is fine for front/side viewing but very inflexible if you try to look from above or below and cant be rotated perpendicular to the view direction when in these positions. In the meantime it would be nice to be able to simply rotate the brush around surface normal. Either would fix my problem of not being able to paint at the right orientation. Cheers
  2. OK im a fool it was just the layer settings and the export settings for the obj :/ sorry to waste space.
  3. When i import a .obj file for either kind of painting it starts out with a normal map, but its applied to a colour channel, making it look blue. now it says a normal map can be imported for reference, but the model had no texture on it when exported as a .obj. I have tried adjusting the layer settings for the paint layer in 3dc, which starts out with 2 layers but cant seem to find any way to apply the texture to different channels or anything. SO basically i just need to import a .obj model and its normal texture so i can paint colour, spec and detail normal for it. I cant see anything else in import settings either. :/ i must be missing something very simple i think as ive heard the blender > 3DC workflow is very nice. if youve got any ideas thatd be great thanks
