  1. Greetings and thank you for the support Leo.

I have 2 installs of 3D Coat , one of those is full of smart materials from commercial projects.

I export from one and install to the other then export for you guys ,so  MB means Michael Bitsakis a prefix i decided to add after i released the drops , it helps me remember which collection is for export and sell.

Anything you need just let me know.

    Michael.

But the "drops Smart Material" is bought too.

  2. 4.5.21 [beta]

    - Merge/move without boolean combining inserted in VoxTree RMB options.

    - Capsule caps parameters are working correctly now.

    - Fixed problem of dark spots near seams in per-pixel painting approach if narrow pen used.

    - fixed diferent problems related to dropdown menus.

    - scripting updated, see Vox object and manual.

I can not find Beta 4.5.21, so I have not tried it yet.

  3. While I am tring 3D programs, I exported a cube from LightWave 3D 2015 and then imported  into 3D-Coat,
I found there are some strange edges on the edge of the cube.

    How come?

PS: I have tried DAZ Studio and Zbrush, they do not  have same problem.

  4. Your first problem as nothing do with memory management. The models panel on the right is used for basic type of primitives that you create to be used to start a sculpt, for a curve or a spline. It is recommended to keep these models anywhere from 10,000 to 15,000

    polygons...

Say you need some scales for a dragon, You create the scale, decimated it down to about 10 to 15 thousand polygons... Place it in the models or spline panel to be used for a curve shape or the brush along a curve function...

    Thank you, digman.

But why put that kinds of limit on the model?

  5. I have found this statement to be surprising too, as 3D-Coat can handle very high poly counts. Maybe what the tutor had in mind is that having a high density reference mesh can decrease snapping performance in the retopo room. But even this is very smooth (on average PC builds) on meshes of density much higher than what his original sculpture is at (1M). Unless of course one prefers working with Snap to Nearest method, which is very demanding.
