yes thank you, also I have been having issue going between the 2 once I switch to surface mode I pretty much have to stay in surface. I assume this is because I could use more RAM

that is cool, though I would like to see something similar in the voxels mode

So been looking and I have not been able to find this kind of tool int he program so far. The idea that I had for this is that you paint a mask on the object with a depth to it that freezes the colored portion in place. That way when you get an area set up just how you want it you can freeze it and work around it without worry of messing it up.
