I guess we'll never know... ;-)

Thanks Carlosan - sounds like you manually created all seams rather than auto. I was thinking I'd do auto then tweak - but it seems like once it gets set in its ways - it doesn't like to change. Of course - I am pretty new to it so I'm probably just doing it all wrong.
I'll try doing it all manually and see if I can replicate what you're getting. I have a lot of other things to do this to so I want to make sure i'm getting it right.
Thanks again!

Carlosan! That's awesome! Can you tell me how you did it? Because... I need to learn! Thanks for taking that time - very appreciated.

PS - you'll see the maps from c4d get that part right (rest is terrible). But when I automap - it does that and won't let me do anything else.

Hey Carlosan - thanks for taking a look Super appreciated!

Thanks Druh0o - yeah that overlap is what I'm talking about. (Although you're highlighting parts that aren't overlapping.)
Geo doesn't seem bad - I am able to remap the seam (as far as I can tell) - (it's not a loop but that's fine)
Infact - actually - in C4d the loops are fine
I'm just not aware of how to get that to update the UV's without ruining their positions that I've mapped out.

Hey all - new to 3d coat but LOVING it -
But! Today - I can't for the life of me figure this out.
I unwrapped everything and rearranged everything on the UV map... All great -
Then realized my seams weren't right. Even tho the 'colors' of islands changed when I removed UV path and added UV path (using UV path tool and ctrl enter) - I thought that's how you do it? It looked right color wise:
But still - when I zoom in I have this:
What the heck is happening here? :-(
If I unwrap it - it goes crazy. Stretches that area like crazy.
So I'm pretty lost as to how to get it to work.
Any ideas? Thanks!
What am I doing wrong?
