I'm 100% new to modeling. I'm really wanting to get into papercraft modeling and I am looking for the right program to fill these needs. I have next to no experience with any software other than a brief moment using MisfitModel3D to make a quick hako-style papercraft. Needless to say, I won't be attempting anything photo-realistic, no movies, no new high-polygon games, etc.
Basically, here are some examples of what I want to do:

I'm an illustrator by trade, so doing the graphics isn't a problem (though I'd like to be able to do them directly in whatever modeling program I'm using...)..It's making the models that I am wanting to do.
Is 3D Brush right for me?
