Thanks for the reply. I feel kind of stupid right now. In merge tool option I had checked 'merge to separate layers' and that made a new layer, which I did not select when I tried clay/smooth/... . LOL at me. cheers

Hi, I'm a noob with 3D Coat. After seeing the great movie made with thinker's objects (front page) I wanted to try. The thing is after is hit Enter the objects turn from grey to green and when I want to try sculpt (clay, scrape, smooth,...) nothing works. Oh, another thing. I can't subdivide the objects in merge. I'm probably missing something really obvious. So please, IF you can, help me. Thank you cheers
