Using the curve editor tool in the stroke panel - when set to 'On Plane' does not constrain the curve points to any plane no matter what settings are used. (Previews for the plane are missing. 'Surface Defined by 4 points - Hide Plane Preview' suggests there should be a plane preview). Tested on 3dCoat 2022.21 and 2023.09
