  1. Good ideas.I have thought about these techniques as well. You can achieve similar actions using the pose tool/select with pen option, but using lines and verts as control points would open more possibilities. One of the difficulties in modeling with voxels is precise manipulation of the surface, these "control cages" would help immensely.

  2. This has been really bugging me.(Should have reported it earlier),been busy.

When working with long vox tree performing any action in tree will cause window to pop back up to top, forcing me to keep scrolling down to my last position in tree. This is really annoying and time consuming when working with 50 or so layers and cloning, adding sub object, undoing...

When working in Coat for 8 hours a day this is buggy.

This window positioning error also occurs when using merge tools and selecting different profiles.

I beg of you, please fix this so I don't pull the rest of my hair out. :(

    Thank you.

  3. Ghostdog, I hope to encourage you to keep posting your work here for others to see.I think all forms of art, abstract, realism.impressionism etc. are worthy forms of art and should always be considered as a form of expression.Yes I think the CG community can be a little one sided sometimes in it's approach to creation ,but really art should be a way to express yourself visually without the need for words, that includes all styles.

I'm not always concerned about getting a perfect render or even a perfect sculpt,(Is there such a thing?)I just like to create. Being able to share our work on these forums is a blessing. However as artist we are always putting ourselves out there for criticism, and that can be very difficult to do.

I like what you are doing and hope to see more of it in the future.

    Keep it up! :):)

  4. Is it possible to paint color and displacement directly on the maps that are applied to the vox mesh.

Would this allow us to combine displacement map sculpting with voxel sculpting.Seems like it would be better then subdividing the voxel sculpt really high to get fine details.

And painting color and specular on a a texture applied to the vox sculpt would better then direct voxel painting.

    Yes, no, maybe so?

  5. I'm with you Taros.

Is it possible to "bind" the pose line with curves?

So basically you would draw out the skeleton of your model with curves, then in the curve option pallet you would have a check box to add the pose influence to a particular part of the curves, for instance knee to ankle.

The check box would allow you to click two curve points where influence begins and ends. Then the curve line would be bound to the curve/mesh like it is now using select with line. But the selection line is bound to the curve.

Perpendicular to the selection line is an influence slider which allows you to drag the area of influence intuitively.

Being able to save out the curves allows you to reload the curves and continue posing in the same manner.

Of course the standard pose methods would be retained for quick adjustments.
