Hmmmm... I cant find livecaly or voxel painting... help! i even dont see "show voxels in paint room".... ???

Do you have vista64 ?
I got Xp 64 and I don't see any change, still stick to 16M polygons, I crash if I try to go further.
I got 8GB of memory.
Don't know if it is linked to Xp64 but I wasn't able to go further than 16M polygons.
And it's really long to wait between each sudbivision.
Im running on xp64... Did you remember to run 64 bit version? Theres 32bit exe and 64bit exe on programs menu

Tested v39 64bit!
28million polys with 6 gigs mem! i think i could get more but i had lots of other programs open .... more tomorrow...

64 bit! Great!
And i too think that some brushstrokes are messy. needs improving. extrude brush seems to work ok. use it for making scraches (extrude+sharpbrush+lots of depth)...
but things seem to get better and better.

OSX/Win?
Also, have you turned off shadow? It slows down much at huge polycount.

Now i'm testing sculpting with 16 million tris.
it laggy but can do something with it. I know this is alpha stage and thats why it think this is going to be GREAT!
Could work for a while and then crash and out of memory.
My specs are
- 2 x xeon quad 2.33 mgz
- 6 GB mem
- nvidia Quadrofx 570
