Hello! I just started using rhino4.0 in this PC and i cannot edit an imported object. I can open it and edit it alone, but when I import it into another file it is selected only in the beginning. If I click to another point it cannot be selected again and I cannot understand why... Does anybody have an idea why is this happening? Thanks a lot!

Hi, I'm wondering if there are resources around here related to a prototyping work flow between Rhinoceros CAD and 3D Coat sculpting (with 3D printing as the output). If anyone has insights they'd be willing to share, I'd be grateful. Thanks dayoldy

First seen information about this on a MoI forum: http://moi3d.com/forum/index.php?webtag=MOI&msg=7348.1 Here's the link to the discussion on Rhino forums: http://discourse.mcneel.com/t/third-party-mesher-for-rhino/18860/32

Greetings All, I've downloaded the trial of 3D Coat after seeing it highly recommended as a UV Tool (still haven't gotten a hang of the UV features, but the interface is pretty awesome). I've found a few good posts about using 3D Coat with MoI and Rhino (listed below*). Any Rhino/MoI users have any strong opinions/tips/caveats about this workflow? How is the Wacom support in 3D Coat? Can I use the full features e.g. pen angle and keys? Can I use the airbrush pen (with the wheel)? Thanks, FDP More details: What I want to use it for: I am looking at using it in a MoI3D/Rhino workflow, replacing Mudbox as a 3D sculpting and Normal/GI baking tool (I have used Mudbox very happily in the past but can't bring myself to pay Autodesk for anything). Also, as mentioned I would use it for UV cleanup/repair. My deliverables range from realtime 3D models (rare) to 3D printing/CAM (very common), with full-res rendering for clients in-between. I use Neon in Rhino these days for rendering, I used to use Turtle/MR in Maya, but then Autodesk bought AW and ruined the party. I need to be able to deliver watertight meshes for printing as well as UV-ed models for use in custom OpenGL renderers and Unity/UDK. My Preferences with similar software: I liked the speed of ZBrush, but hated the UI. As I don't sculpt or texture on every project and sometimes go months without doing so it really helps to have a UI I can return to and not have to relearn every time. I love the UI experience of Mudbox but it choked a bit on high poly models. I haven't used recent versions of either software (~3 years for mudbox, last used ZBrush in 2006), so perhaps they have both improved. *Posts I've looked at: http://3d-coat.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=2166 Moi3D to 3D-Coat to Cinema4D http://3d-coat.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=14879 Moi 3D to 3D coat.
