For anyone interested. As an old 3D Coat user who just began using it again, I've found a neat workflow for programs like MoI and Rhino and SketchUp which don't create decent UVs to be able to use PBR shaders and textures for OBJ models using 3D Coat.
I apologize for it being long and a bit scattered. I'm still trying to find my way around 3D Coat a bit.
