Member 3DNut Posted June 20, 2015 Member Report Share Posted June 20, 2015 As I understand it, 3D-Coat supports three different PBR workflows: Gloss/Color Specular Gloss/Metalness Roughness/Metalness So it seems to me that the Smart Material Editor only represents Gloss/Metalness when viewing the inputs. Where are the map input types for the other workflows in the Smart Material Editor? I am really confused by how this is all supposed to work. Member Solution DrKrieg Posted June 21, 2015 Member Solution Report Share Posted June 21, 2015 Have you seen the "Texture Export/Import Workflow" options under "Textures" in the Paint room? I haven't used the new PBR stuff yet myself but I'd imagine that changes the format you export, you'll just need to use the same setting as the engine your textures will be used in.
Member 3DNut Posted June 22, 2015 Author Member Report Share Posted June 22, 2015 Interesting. I have seen (and used) that workflow selection option before, but it never occurred to me that the Smart Material options were context sensitive to the selected workflow, Thanks for the help.
