Member sunfire Posted January 11, 2009 Member Report Share Posted January 11, 2009 well I just discover this great and simple soft that is so useful for props makers like me. I surely love to see this in 3d coat 3. I love the fact that low poly models looks so neat and paint them is so simple as drag and paint. My own textures are so easy to find. I bet Andrew can do this! Check at www.3dpaintbrush.com/
Advanced Member Jokermax Posted January 11, 2009 Advanced Member Report Share Posted January 11, 2009 frankly, that looks pretty bad It is similar to comparing Poser to 3dsmax
Member sunfire Posted January 12, 2009 Author Member Report Share Posted January 12, 2009 As I said, SIMPLE but useful for low poly models. Not everyone use modeling softwares for diabolic creatures or mold ready make meshes.
Advanced Member Roger_K Posted February 3, 2009 Advanced Member Report Share Posted February 3, 2009 Im at a loss as to what this is for, Seems like a bog standard material editor with a GLSL preview. Surely that sort of work is better done in your rendering package/Game Editor
Advanced Member GED Posted February 4, 2009 Advanced Member Report Share Posted February 4, 2009 I agree with Roger k, I have no idea why anyone would use this 3Dpaintbrush tool when similar options for real time material rendering are available in nearly all 3D software? also why is it called 3dpaintbrush if it doesnt let you paint objects as if you have a 3D paintbrush?...its more like 3Dbucketfill than 3Dpaintbrush. also I wouldnt say its any use for low poly models as all the models shown in the gallery on that site are what I would consider high poly models these are low poly models: http://www.gameartisans.org/gamecon/galler...339&aw=2105 http://www.gameartisans.org/gamecon/galler...491&aw=2342 can they be painted this well in this 3dpaintbrush software?...nope 3D coat already has shaders and a true 3D paint brush tool and direct painting is still coming so we really could paint stuff to the quality of those low poly models in 3D coat.
