Member Chufu Posted March 8, 2009 Member Share Posted March 8, 2009 There is a curiosity in 3D-Coat V3Alpha (leatest Version Without CUDA). When I sculpt a Objekt with the Voxelmodeler I can't switch to the Surfacemode. If I do that my Object disapears. Wehen I swicht return to the Voxelmode my Object is back. So the direkt way is closed. Now I must go a special way to change the surface of my Object. Workaround: In the Voxelmode I must save my Objekt in to the obj-Format. Then I can reload it in the Surfacemode. Now I can modeling the Surface. I think this method is a little bit circuitous. Greatings Peter To paint on voxel objects you must retopo them first. that can be done automatically by right-clicking on a voxel object in the vox-tree and going "quadrangulate and paint" or manually, by going to retopo mode, creating a retopo mesh, laying out UVs, and doing a "merge in scene".
